My opinion about this blog

This blog was a good step for me to know about this issue and to share ideas with others. What I knew form reading about global warming that it is a big issue not only in our country, it is a big problem for all people in whole the world.

UAE's green move gathers pace

Recently, Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar) launched a $5 billion initiative to establish the world's first totally green city in Abu Dhabi.
The development extending over six square kil-ometres plans to achieve zero carbon dioxide emissions and zero waste and includes plans to invest $350 million in solar energy generation.
The new city is scheduled for completion by late 2009, and comes as part of a series of projects adopted by the emirate recently to curb the greenhouse gas effect on the climate.
Abu Dhabi also plans a 100-megawatt solar power plant. Solar power is a growing global trend among environment-conscious investors.

A pilot project is being planned in Dubai as well with the announcement by Tecom, a subsidiary of Dubai Holding, that it will supply all its developments with clean solar energy.

Abu Dhabi accounts for more than 90 per cent of the UAE's oil resources, and the country's reserves, exceeding 100 billion barrels, rank third largest in the world.
According to a recent report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the greenhouse effect on climate change in the Middle East region will result in an increase in the region's temperature of 1-2 degrees Celsius by 2030.

An Inconvenient Truth review

An Inconvenient Truth explores data regarding climate change, interspersed with personal events from the life of Al Gore that comes Through presentation that he has presented worldwide, Gore reviews the scientific evidance for global warming, discusses the politics and economics of global warming, and describes the consequences he believes global climate change will produce if the amount of human-generatedThe film includes many segments intended to refute critics who say that global warming is insignificant or unproven. For example, Gore discusses the risk of the collapse of a major ice sheet in Greenland either of which could raise global sea levels by approximately 20 feet (6m), flooding coastal areas and producing 100 million refugeesThe documentary ends with Gore noting that if appropriate action is taken soon, the effects of global warming can be successfully reversed by releasing less carbon dioxide and growing more plants or trees. Gore calls upon viewers to learn how they can help in this initiative.Gore's book of the same title was published concurrently with the theatrical release of the documentary.

Causes and effects.

Carbon dioxide and many other pollution gases are collecting in the atmospheric like a blanket and trapped the sun's heat to cause planet warm. In addition, burning Coal and forests is the main reason for producing carbon dioxide pollution. Also human-made gases help the greenhouse to affect and warm the Earth's surface. Here are some examples:

-Carbon Dioxide Emitted from;

  • Cars
  • Power Plants
  • Trucks
  • Airplanes
  • Buildings
  1. Methane
  2. Nitrous oxide
  3. Deforestation
  4. City Gridlock
  5. Carbon in Atmosphere and Ocean

Purpose of writing this.

I am writing about the Global Warming to raise my voice. We all need new nations and rules to save our life and keep the world clean from the car pollution and power plants.
If we do not move urgently the average temperature of the earth will continue increasing. This will cause big issues for the wildlife. In addition, the sea's level will rise and many cities in the world will be under the water. All of these are caused from the change in climate by global warming. We should advise people to drive less and do not burn waste. Also we should not keep our cars running for long time.
